Russell Levine
Case Manager

With over 3 years of service in the behavioral health care industry, Russell brings a diverse set of skills to share with The Cottages of the Palm Beaches team. His background as a Life Coach, photography teacher and managerial skills gives Russell the passion to serve those who remain challenged by behavioral and addictive disorders. As a Case Manager, Russell provides support and positive regard to the individuals he works with.

He has maintained and established relationships both locally and nationally resulting in the developing of strong, sober-based continuing care plans for our patient’s prior to discharge. Russell believes that, “By working together with the therapeutic community, both locally and nationally, we truly provide the best treatment and aftercare to those we serve".

Carlos M. Cano, BS, CAP, ICRC
Born in Havana, Cuba and moved to America when he was five years old. Carlos received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Maryland, studied Medical Technology at the University of Tennessee, worked in a Toxicology Laboratory and completed Clinical Addictions Studies at the University of Arkansas.

He is a Certified Addiction Professional and has the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse. Carlos’s interests are exploring the Disease Model and correlating the neuro-chemical basis for addiction. Carlos brings a wealth of life experience, cultural diversity, and formal education to the therapeutic environment. He is also able to offer individual sessions in Spanish for bilingual clients.

Faye Ann Karasick

Faye Ann came to us from Vancouver, British Columbia 5 years ago where she worked as an addictions counselor for many years in both non-profit organizations and private practice.  She worked in the mental health field for several years until she found her niche in the chemical dependency field.  She has created, developed, marketed and facilitated programs in both areas of mental health and addictions before choosing to return to the field of addictions.

She is licensed as a certified gambling professional in Canada and was certified by the State of Nevada in addictions prior to moving to Florida 4 years ago bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.

 

Gina Petitti

Gina Petitti received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology in 1994 and Master's Degree in Social Work from Barry University in Miami.  Gina has worked in numerous areas in the social services field in Connecticut, Detroit and New York City.  These areas included mental health, criminal justice and foster care, before returning to substance abuse treatment here in Florida. 

The passion and devotion that Gina has for this field and the Cottages program are her greatest assets.  Gina lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her 12 year old daughter.

Yolanda Adams

Yolanda is a prime example of someone with a life goal and a determination to obtain that goal. She began working here as an Intern, moved to become a Case Manager and is now a Primary Therapist. She will be graduating Barry University in December 2008 with a Masters of Social Work degree. As a result of her determination to achieve her goal she has become a highly qualified professional in the addictions field and is able to connect with the alcoholic and drug addiction.
